How does a third eye scraping assemblage of noise, doom and hard psych sound to you? If that description alone has you running for the hills, then it’s probably a safe bet that 11Paranoias aren’t the band for you.

If you’ve stuck around though, then Asterismal might just be the ticket. On album five, the trio of Adam Richardson, Mike Vest and Nathan Perrier continue down their established path of planet-engulfing riffs and black hole epiphanies. That’s not to say there’s not also plenty of experimentation: Prelude is a necessary ambient breather, while the two-part Acoustic Mirror offers a more slow-building experience (although to be clear, any prospect of an 11Paranoias unplugged set remains pure fiction). Highs aplenty to be found here.
